Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has strongly criticized and condemned the “Indian agencies’ act of deceit of collecting funds in the disguise of freedom fighters” in Baramulla and Kundi.

LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to GNS quoted outfit chief Mehmood Shah as saying that “not only are the locals being threatened but are being forced to go through severe difficulties”. “Such acts are intended to disrupt the trust between the freedom fighters and public. The nation that goes through all pain and suffering but never gives up on the dead bodies of freedom fighters will never fall for such ill-fated conspiracies,” he said. Shah said it has been a week since government forces are committing “severe atrocities” on the people of Hajin.

“The human rights are being severely violated, the property damaged, innocents being beaten up. The human rights organizations must take duly notice of the severe war crimes committed by India before any more serious mishap happens. “ Lashkar chief requested Hurriyat leaders to visit the affected areas and take the appropriate measures in solving the plight of the affected. “Unification and harmony are need of the hour,” he said. Mehmood Shah also warned Indian agencies and their local agents to stop such “vicious activities,” otherwise they will have to “pay a heavy price”.
